Buli is named following the buri palm. Alabang is named once the river that passes from the barangay. Ayala Alabang was designed by Batas Pambansa Bilang 219 from Barangay Alabang. Sucat got its name within the vernacular phrase "sukat", which implies "measurement" because it was
